music: boards of canada- hey saturday sun
A most interesting week. My Dad came to visit Tuesday night, we tried a local Indian the Charcoal Tandoori which was really good, choice of Indian beer, poppadom with a range of sauces, some unknown, huge nan bread, lamb tikka tandoori was really tasty and the mixed tandoori looked fantastic! finished with complementary coffee liqueurs came to £35. It was the first time my Dad has visited my house and we had a good long chat. Was on a high all Wednesday and most of Thursday
Interview on Friday a Global Investments, Prestwich. The agency neglected to tell me that the website was extremely out of date, they have downsized severely selling Spar and most of their clothing companies, now their largest franchise is transvestite products, surgery the works! I was not expecting that, plus I seemed to run the first half of the interview myself. I dont think it went particularly well, will find out on Monday. It would seem to be a 100% geek position, which does not fill me with joy either. I have found a position available in Radcliffe (Fragrance Oils, good job my sense of smell is poor) have to find out the pay scale though.
I have the kids this weekend, and the signal goes on the telly whenever it rains hard-which is most of the time! Have been looking at sky boxes on ebay. Also looking at holidays for august with the kids and my Mum, probably Haven on the south coast- they love caravans and beaches, just hope the weather improves. Thankfully my Mum has a load of Tesco vouchers towards it, cos this month does not seem to be any better financially than the last.

Recovering from last night. Was a bit silly with excess lager and evil Death chilli sauce doing its best to do us over. Nothing should be that strong and legal, caused 15 minutes of carnage. It all went wrong at the end, someone took my bag then I missed the tram. Nevermind, was a good evening

Camping snake style

location: home
music: babes in toyland
Drove down to snake pass yesterday to drink and camp with
gothstew,
aradia_uk, Dan & Susannah, Shabs and Stew's friends Mark and Paul. Started off still a bit spaced from NoizeTek but tent up and drinking pulled me round. Highlights were: Dans inferno, Monty Python singalong, Dan's molten torch and chilling in the sun. Managed to fall over spectacularly and bruise my arse on a large rock. didnt hurt till this morning. Followed up with a big carvery meal. Very cool trip, fantastic weather and scenery, large quantities of budweiser consumed
Some pix will be posted when I find my bluetooth thing. just painted the shed.

relaxed
while sitting at my desk answering an email i had a flashback of a dream I had several times, about 10 years ago. While the details are unclear, I remember walking down a street between closed shops and disused warehouses to a large fancy dress shop on the first floor. I was with someone and all i recall is a sense of adventure, not knowing what was round the corner and making a mess. I do not often remember dreams, especially not during the day and i feel that this is somehow meaningfull, connecting past and future. wierd.
i seem to have been talking a lot recently. only noticed when a couple of times people have told me to shut up. not used to that. i have definitely been happier in myself the last few days and feel real good.

Moving
Feb. 22nd, 2007 | 12:21 pm
location: work
mood:
hungry
music: microwaves
Well, tomorrow will be the day I move. Have packed a bit but probably just throw most stuff in the car. My sister Egg comes up tomorrow but couldnt get her boyfriends van, so I might hire one. It will be a busy weekend looking after the kids also.
I have next week off work as well so will be without email and internet for a while- back to the dial up til its installed! :(
Does mean that I can go out more often without the restriction of driving, if I can afford to :)

fantastic night at noizetek with
mirukux and Rosie. danced loads and drink etc. only criticism is that they ran out of glasses so had to switch to bottles (ages since I drank cider, head now reminding me why), and I discovered the arm my jacket was drenched in beer at the end of the night.
just took a load of furniture and stuff off of
craigtonks' Dad, got to sort it now so that its not in the way. is a bright day here, the earlier frost has all gone. really need to clean the car, and not go to bed. cup of tea first, tho

quiet one for me-spent last night reading (? douglas adams dirk gently) alone, tonight wathced a bit of van helsing then torchwood, now watching grand theft auto... what is this life??
tomorrow holds some stress with kids and ex-in-laws for xmas dinner. have given up smoking (day1 good) but is a really bad time to do it and may have to break soon. rest of the 'big' day is fairly empty, postponing xmas until.. Maxs boxing day birthday, driving them to my Mums for 'real' xmas. will be good to share some proper time with kids n family, and a couple of old friends as well.
have tried all options for new years eve. looks like wherever I end up, I will have to look after kids (cos everyone else going out) so hoping my sister will join me for an ale or two... really dissapointed I cant make the party of choice but hope to make it up in the near future
I wish all my friends a happy chrimbo, and make the most of 2007

Another good implant, some dancing drinking and fun.
Several good nights out over the last few weekends, including Harkon's birthday, Subculture and wendy house. many more to come, including Psychic TV in sheffield (5th) and Lacuna Coil (12th Oct)
House hunting is slow, but I just found a couple of options in whitefield and prestwich that look good, makes a change from radcliffe, the pavements of which have been stomped many times.

George do
Jun. 2nd, 2006 | 10:16 pm
Right. Its Georges last weekend before he goes back to cyprus to play/watch football and twiddle thumbs until he has to get a job: a few months by his reckoning. So John Harkon, Sophia, MarcusA and others will be partying with him Saturday night if not for his whole extended vacation.
I believe the Grand Central may be in order, possibly other venues and Rock Kitchen to finish the job off.

good
All I remember is Kevin was trying to talk to me and I couldn't hear him. At all! I think I was at the point where I had to sit down and do nothing for a bit, probably to clean my ears out
So real apologies Kevin, get in touch and I'll buy you a beer
